Temperature and climate tests with flammable substances (ATEX)
Flammable substances are used in many products: Fuels or lubricants, solvents, hydraulic oil and many other substances are used. If such test specimens are placed in temperature and climate chambers, flammable gases can accumulate in the air and lead to an explosion in combination with ignition sources.
To prevent this, measures must be taken and regulations complied with. These result from legal regulations such as the EU's ATEX Directive or comparable regulations in other countries.
